HUSUM WindEnergy needed to “Americanize” the content on its website to improve the chances of drawing more American exhibitors. The CEO called on Fredricks Communications.
HUSUM was the world’s leading fair and congress for the international wind energy industry when I started working with the show’s planners and communication team in 2008. The show was the center of global wind energy every two years in the small port town by the same name in northwestern Germany.
In addition to Americanizing the English on the HUSUM website, I helped with trade media relations in North America, and I wrote content for and carried out special projects such as inviting government and industry leaders and obtaining a video greeting from the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy.
Finally, I staffed the fair in 2008 and 2010 to assist with public relations needs and lead tours of English-speaking delegations.
